Welcome to Ardgowan School

 Our school opened just over 100 years ago with only13 students.  We still have our original school building which is now used as our library.  This is a real conversation piece at our school because lots of people admire it or they talk about the old pot belly fire place, the teachers they had in the past and laugh about the things they used to do. 

Over the last few years we have completed a big building programme and now we have a new learning centre as well.  We have assemblies here and we cook, have community gatherings, have lots of teachers from other schools who come to learn and ..... we use this new space for lots of things.  Some of our classrooms are new and they are bright and light and really nice places for our learning.

We have computers and laptops, and we use the digital cameras to record what we have learned. 

Our next project is to get a new big adventure playground.  We do have one but all the kids love to play on it so it needs to be bigger now.

We have a new uniform that we all wear this year.  We are often told we look very smart in our gold and black sunhats and tops.
